Pilates

Pilates focuses on the core principles of pilates flow, concentration, centering, breath, precision, and control - with a specific emphasis on core strength. Our goal is to educate our members about the importance of engaging their core and pelvic floor muscles, and provide them with helpful exercises and techniques to do so that will carry into their other workouts and daily activities. This class is typically taught in a warm room, and includes a mix of standing exercises and mat work. Some classes incorporate elements such as foam rollers and mini bands, but most of the exercises are bodyweight. Every movement is performed at a manageable tempo and with plenty of modifications, which makes it the perfect class for everyone, from beginners to advanced members!
